Stories in abstraction

"I found I could say things with colour and shapes that I couldn't say any other way… things I had no words for."
— Georgia O'Keeffe.

As I venture into the world of abstract expressionism, my inspiration is drawn from the rebellious spirits and advocacy prevalent in diverse sources, such as feminist art and street art. The essence of my artistic pursuit lies in a dedication to feminist claims, challenging societal norms and gender stereotypes by weaving an eclectic blend into my self-taught work, influenced by literature and storytelling.

Abstract art, transcending verbal expression, serves as a canvas for narrative exploration. Within this artistic journey, the interplay of colors, textures, and experimental techniques becomes a medium for conveying intricate stories and embodied experiences. The inherent ability of abstract art to evoke profound emotions and its fluidity of interpretation contribute to a compelling impact, providing a unique platform for storytelling and giving voice through art.
